Side Talk: Space Traffic Coordination in a Post-Starship World

Space Traffic Coordination in a Post-Starship World by Kayhan Space

Side Talks are 45 minute presentations and/or discussions from our exhibitors and sponsors, located in the Lovelace Room (near entrance).

Low Earth orbit (LEO) is increasingly congested with over 10,000 operational satellites and millions of debris pieces. Starship is a transformative space economy force capable of transporting unprecedented payload masses and volumes to orbit at significantly reduced costs. This advancement will facilitate the deployment of mega-constellations and inspire new space-based industries. The congestion in LEO will only increase with over 10 times more satellites projected in the next decade. The lack of precise, real-time ephemeris data sharing among operators and satellites’ limited maneuverability pose significant risks to space operations. The rapid expansion of space activities may also lead to new regulations and standards, requiring operators to adapt to the latest operating environment. This talk will explore how technology can help operators coordinate to streamline operations, reduce risk, and improve mission success. About Kayhan Space Kayhan Space is developing advanced space traffic coordination tools that enhance risk mitigation, automated collision avoidance, and space operations.
